Louis Williams gives Sixers fans hope
In case you don't know, now you know: Louis Williams is a star on the rise. This year Louis Williams, a 2nd round selection in the 2005 NBA draft, will be entering his 3rd NBA season and I expect that more people will become more familiar with the man who holds the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award (an award that has an impressive list of names including: Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Dwight Howard, Chris Webber, Jason Kidd, and Greg Oden).Towards the end of the 2007 season we started to see glimpses of what Louis Williams was capable of: in the final five games of the season Williams was averaging 12.5 PPG and 5.6 APG in limited minutes.
Williams' play in the NBA summer league was outstanding and he kept it up in the preseason. This preseason Williams has averaged 16.6 PPG, 4.0 APG, 3.2 RPG, and 1.2 SPG.
I'm already on the Louis Williams bandwagon. Hopefully we will continue to see Louis Williams, who turns 21 this October, develop into the the superstar he has the ability to turn into.
