Phillies players on MLB's Mitchell Report
The Mitchell Report (the baseball investigation launched to reveal a full list of players that were known to be taking steroids during the "steroid era") has been released. I was able to come across the partial list over at Hot Foot. Here are a list of names on the report:Brady Anderson, Manny Alexander, Rick Ankiel, Jeff Bagwell, Barry Bonds, Aaron Boone, Rafaeil Bettancourt, Bret Boone, Milton Bradley, David Bell, Dante Bichette, Albert Belle, Paul Byrd, Wil Cordero, Ken Caminiti, Mike Cameron, Ramon Castro, Jose and Ozzie Canseco, Roger Clemens, Paxton Crawford, Wilson Delgado, Lenny Dykstra, Johnny Damon, Carl Everett, Kyle Farnsoworth, Ryan Franklin, Troy Glaus, Rich Garces, Jason Grimsley, Juan Gonzalez, Eric Gagne, Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Giambi, Jeremy Giambi, Jose Guillen, Jay Gibbons, Juan Gonzalez, Clay Hensley, Jerry Hairston, Felix Heredia, Jr., Darren Holmes, Wally Joyner, Darryl Kile, Matt Lawton, Raul Mondesi, Mark McGwire, Guillermo Mota, Robert Machado, Damian Moss, Abraham Nunez, Trot Nixon, Jose Offerman, Andy Pettitte, Mark Prior, Neifi Perez, Rafael Palmiero, Albert Pujols, Brian Roberts, Juan Rincon, John Rocker, Pudge Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Scott Schoenweiis, David Segui, Alex Sanchez, Gary Sheffield, Miguel Tejada and Julian Taveras.
Perhaps the most shocking name on the list is David Bell. David Bell juices? The dude looked like he was 175 pounds and could get beat up by a 5th grader. Yep, juicer. Correction: David Bell is actually 195 pounds. Well maybe there should be a footnote to his name because I came across this at Baseball's Steroid Era: Bell was linked to Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, which is used to as a fertility medication. It is also used in treatments to induce testosterone production in men and is often used in conjunction with anabolic steroids.
Lenny Dykstra was also on the list! He gets my pardon for being badass.
Another Phillies player on the list: Abraham Nunez. Not on the list, but speculated to be added soon: Ryan Howard. I'm going to keep thinking he's just a natural freak of nature until I hear otherwise.
