Rumor: Eagles offering Reggie Brown and picks for Roy Williams
This is just a rumor. I have no idea how accurate it is, or if if there is any truth to it whatsoever, but I came across this at Yardbarker:The Truth Team is the first to report that there is an offer being put together to offer Reggie Brown and perhaps a 4th round pick to the Detroit Lions for Wide Reciever Roy Williams. Actually not too bad of an offer for both teams.
This would be too good to be true for the Eagles. I don't see any reasons why the Lions would get rid of him by merely swapping WRs and only gaining a 4th-round pick. But then again, all the Patriots had to give up for Moss was a 4th-round pick. Williams is the best player on their team and he provides the only veteran leadership they have. The only way I see the Lions getting rid of him is for help on the offensive line, help in the defense, and maybe a draft pick. This trade would be great for the Eagles, but the Lions would get shafted. I don't see it happening.
