When you look at the number associated with the Eagles Salary cap. How in the world, would Larry Fitzgerald enable the Eagles to do anything for the next three years? I believe his is going to be paid somewhere is the range of $16.5 million in 2008. After the signing of Asante Samuel, where is the money for Fitzgerald coming from, Lito & Kearse? That only adds up to about 25% of the money. Where is the rest coming from? Before you come on here and stir the pot make sure that you have something that works. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of Larry Fitzgerald wearing Eagle green every Sunday. The Cardinals are trying to re-structure his contract, not to trade him but to keep him. If he is no willing to reconstruct his deal, he sure isn't coming to the Eagles. We would need to make some cuts to fit his huge number that comes with him. They should focus their eyes on a different player. The Detroit Lions way have the worst secondary in the NFC. They are in desperate need of a cover corner and a draft pick to help that defense. The trade that needs to be done is Lito Shepperd, the #19th pick and a 4th round pick for Roy Williams. He is just what the Eagles need. He's big and will also open the field for both Kevin Curtis and Reggie Brown to put up some pretty good numbers. Just one mans opinion.

I wouldn't give up the 19th for Williams. I think the Lions would pull the trigger with Lito and a 2nd rounder.

They got rid of Takeo which frees up more salary space. This could indeed fall into place hoagie26....one step at a time.

Lets hope so... I don't think they would cut Spikes unless they wanted to use the money elsewhere.

I for one would love to see Fitz join the Eagles, but unless he restructures his contract the Eagles will not do it. The Cards were dumb for giving him this contract anyways. Williams would make an excellent wr and his cap numbers are doable. I hear rumors of Tory Holt, but hope we would go after Williams before Holt. Regardless this is going to be an excellent year for us Eagles fans. Lets sit back and hope this is a championship season that Philly desperately needs.
